My dog has two lumps on its nose overnight. What could it be?

It's a bit hard to see the lump, but it looks like it's around Bailey's whisker. It could be from an infection of the hair follicle or it could be due to an injury. I would take her into a vet tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing it, and can treat it. Best of luck.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bailey! If that just showed up in 24 hours I would be a bit concerned. It could be from rubbing it on something or an insect sting. Other concerns are for something malignant, like Mast Cell tumor. I would have her seen tomorrow at your Vet. You can apply triple antibiotic cream twice daily until then. I would caution you to avoid cleaning it in case it causes it to bleed. I wish you the best!

If these bumps appears on Bella recently in the last few hours, then these could be hives, insect sting or bite, or a mild skin irritation. It is hard to say for sure without seeing Bella in person. If they are very itchy and persist or seem to really bother her, I would seek care for Bella with her veterinarian soon to have these evaluated.

If these lumps have suddenly appeared then it may be an allergic reaction to a sting or such. If so t should settle down within 48 hours. However it would be worth going to the vet to ensure she is okay and that it is nothing else such as infection or masses. Even if it is just allergic reaction they can usually give an injection to help it settle faster.

Bumps like this are usually a hypersensitivity response to an allergen. Also it could be bug bites that are having a localized reaction. I would recommend monitoring these areas to see if they continue to grow in size or cause pain/irritation. If they do start causing irritation for Snow, then you can place a cold compress on the area for 5 mins tonight and then get Snow seen by your vet tomorrow for further care, if it is still bothersome for Snow. It is hard to tell from the photo the characteristics of this bump. I would say it is possible it is related to trauma and I would monitor for now but it could also be a tumor (either benign or malignant). My recommendation would be to monitor it for the next 24 to 48 hours, and if it is still there in the same size or it is bigger I would have a veterinarian examin the area. Further testing might need to be considered such as taking a sample of the mass and sending it out for interpretation at the laboratory. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Look at that cute nose! IT is really hard to tell by the picture if Mia has small pustules (skin infection) or if they are actual masses/bumps. The small pustules could be from a primary allergy. A contact allergy could cause irritation to the nose and lead to the pustules. IF they are growth I would recommend a vet complete a fine needle aspirate. This is when a vet places a small needle into the mass and looks at the cells under a microscope. This will allow the vet to determine what the growths are being caused by. I would recommend taking Mia to a vet due to her young age and having a hard time telling what is going on based on the pictures. Hope she feels better
