Is it safe to give my dog Nexgard after recent Frontline use?

Yes, if you feel that you need additional flea protection, you can use a topical and an oral preventative at the same time. I do recommend that you separate them by 2 weeks. This is not because of toxic interactions but just to help overlap the coverage.

Hello and thank you for your post! This combination will not likely cause any side effects. Ideally only one should be given at a time but not nexgard and frontline together should be ok. I would, however, monitor your dog for any symptoms such as tremors, seizures, excessive salivation, lethargy and get your dog seen as soon as possible by an emergency vet for treatment. Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Not 100% sure what you mean by an Advantix flea bath. Advantix is a topical flea treatment applied on the skin of dogs. Yes you can use Nexgard along with Advantix. Great multimodal flea/tick strategy. After you have used both oral and topical treatments together for 3 months or so, any environmental problem inside the home should be addressed. That gives enough time for most if not all of the immature stages to mature and be killed by the products. After that time period, you may be able to drop back down to one product each month. Depends on your geographical location and your particular flea problem. Good luck

Yes, they do cover the same things, the only difference is a nexgardnwill last for 1 month and a bravecto will last for 3 months. They have different ingredients and a wide safety margin so you will unlikely notice any changes.

Parastar contains only fipronil and should remain topical (on the skin). Nexgard is given orally, so it works completely differently and theoretically should not interact. However, I suspect that the companies have not tested the products together, so they will likely not be able to give you a tested answer about their interaction. If you have already given the Nexgard for the month and need to add Parastar for mites, make sure to ask your vet for their recommendation. If you are just trying to get flea/tick protection, you should be able to get that with Parastar alone, so again I would ask your vet for their recommendation for your area since flea and tick product efficacy does tend to vary by region.
