My dog ingested meth. What to do at home for poisoning without a vet?

If you suspect your pet ingested meth, please take her to your nearest emergency clinic right away for life saving treatment. Take your dog to your veterinarian or a 24-hour emergency veterinary clinic immediately! This is an emergency! Amphetamine poisoning in dogs affects the central nervous system, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and respiratory systems. Clinical signs may include agitation, dilated pupils, tremors, seizures, elevated heart rate, high blood pressure, panting, drooling, vomiting, and diarrhea. Aggressive treatment, including decontamination (if appropriate), IV fluids, sedation, thermoregulation (and cooling measures, if needed), electrocardiogram/blood pressure monitoring, and symptomatic/supportive care, is recommended.

If Noelani had ingested either meth or coke this morning, I would certainly have expected signs to develop by now (8 hours later). If the bag was well sealed and ingested whole, it may pass in her GI tract without her absorbing anything, but it is always safest to have her examined. We commonly see significant excitation with these drugs which can progress to heart or nervous system problems including seizures. Oh no poor Sophie! Definitely induce vomiting using 3% hydrogen peroxide at the dose of 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds. Repeat every 15-20 minutes, up to three times, until Sophie vomits. If she doesn't vomit after doing this three times, get her into a vet right away. Even if she does vomit, I would still take her into the vet right away. She will need activated charcoal to prevent absorption of any toxins still in her stomach, and she will need vitamin K injections to enable production of blood clotting factors.

I know this is a very worrying time for you, but you did completely the right thing in taking the dog to the vet so quickly. If you had him vomit within 40 minutes then the majority of the gastric contents and the noxious substance will have come up. Sometimes I would also administer activated charcoal but it isn't strictly necessary when they vomit a good lot up. The medication that the vet gave you will help to line the stomach in case the substance has damaged the lining, the other medication is a liver support as it deals with a lot of potentially toxic substances. There really isn't much more you can do aside from being vigilant. If you knew exactly what the dog ingested sometimes other drugs can be administered such as vitamin k in rat poisoning. However your dog should be absolutely fine considering how quick you acted.
