My dog lost appetite and vomited twice. Should I take him to the vet?

I'm sorry to hear Hansou isn't feeling well. I would wait a few hours and see what happens. Don't feed him again tonight but in 2-3 hours offer a small amount of water. If he keeps that down you can continue to offer small amounts of water until morning. If he hasn't vomited all night, offer 1/3 of her normal breakfast and wait an hour. I am very sorry to hear that Tye is experiencing these problems, I am sure it is very unsettling for you both. There are a number of potential causes of such clinical signs, including dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, parasite infestation, infection, and ingestion of a toxin or poison. I would believe the most likely cause in a lung dog like Tye is gastrointestinal worms or a gastrointestinal infection. Because you have only noticed these signs over the course of a few days I would continue to monitor Tye at home. Here is what you can do for him over the next 24 hours; Rest Tye’s gastrointestinal tract by holding back food for a few hours. Then you can continue with a bland and easily digested food of the boiled chicken breast and white rice diet and provide plenty of fresh water. This will tempt him to eat while also being healthy for gut recovery. You can also purchase Hill’s I/D from a veterinarian, which is a premade food which will have the same effect. I also find that boiled, mashed skinless sweet potato is helpful for diarrhoea if he is experiencing any of that. In the longer term I would also advise switching his dog food brand, in case he is not doing well because of his current food. Poor Twinkie! It does sound like he isn't feeling well. Unfortunately, these are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost anything. You can try offering him some plain boiled chicken and rice or chicken-flavored baby food to see if he's willing to eat - if so, you could opt to monitor him at home for the next 24 hours to see if the problem resolves. If he still won't eat, I would recommend taking him to the vet this evening if possible, or first thing in the morning at the latest to find out what's wrong. Your vet can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help determine the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.

If Shieyah is vomiting and not stopping I would recommend a veterinarian. They can provide a medication to stop the vomiting and make sure it is nothing to be concerned about, like pancreatitis or even a foreign body. If she vomited once. I would withhold food for about 6 hours and rec small multiple meals of boiled chicken and white rice or a prescription bland diet. If she gets worse after this then she needs to see a veterinarian. It sounds as Teddy is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

He is so young that you do not want to wait long if he is ill. It is very easy for him to become dehydrated.
