My dog is looking up at the ceiling and acting scared, what's wrong?

If Louie is otherwise acting normally (normal appearance regarding appetite, thirst, peeing, stools, walking, playing, and sleeping), it sounds like either a noise or a smell has his attention and may be activating his instinctive response to be alerted and cautious. Mice or other pests are common culprits as dogs can often smell or hear them through openings such as electrical outlets or light fixtures in walls. Strange behavior can also indicate early onset neurologic disease, so if nothing can be found that he may be looking for, please have him examined by your veterinarian, especially if he starts having any other abnormal behavior, trouble walking, trouble hearing, or other signs of neurologic disease. I'm sorry to hear Gizmo isn't acting himself! Without seeing him it is very hard to say. It sound like he could be painful and he's acting anxious. I recommend taking him to the vet for a full physical exam. Have them check for pain in his limbs or spine. Have them check for an ear infection or any evidence of fleas. Also have them check his anal glands. These are common areas that pets have problems and show signs of anxiety. I would also question if there have been any loud noises or thunder storms. These symptoms could have a wide range of causes, including fear, anxiety, pain, nausea, diarrhea, organ failure, etc. I would recommend watching Loki for the next 12-24 hours. If additional symptoms develop, if she isn't back to normal tomorrow, or if you are concerned she is getting rapidly worse, she should definitely get examined by a vet.

I am sorry to hear about Baby. I would be concerned about things like a seizure disorder (they can sometimes act "out of it" prior to and after a seizure, and seizures can sometimes be mild and you may not notice them falling over and thrashing as you see in severe seizures), I would also worry about things like a liver shunt which can cause neurological signs. I would recommend bringing Baby in for an exam at the vet. They can do a neurological exam on him and may recommend bloodwork to check for underlying causes for his behavior.

Poor Caesar. There definitely sounds like something has changed. There are so many things that can cause him to be acting this way. He could be hurting somewhere, ill with an infection, or stress from an environmental change. You could try an adaptil calming collar but if it isn’t improving then I would have your vet look at him. Your vet can do some bloodwork to rule out any infections or liver/kidney issues and also try to locate any possible painful areas. Your vet can also start him on a medicine for anxiety if needed. It's possible there is something she is hearing, such as a rodent in the walls, neighbor, etc that is causing her to fixate on the spot. Trying to distract her with a treat or toy, or even soothing TV show may help. If she continues to fixate and a cause can't be found, seems in distress or pain, has other symptoms of illness appear, or doesn't settle down, having a vet checkup to rule out any health issues is always a good idea.

These are very unspecific signs of being unwell. You can observe her for a while, fast her for 24 hours and then offer her some boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken. If she has a tummy ache this should clear that up. If you suspect that she is in pain somewhere else of if she is deteriorating and or getting lethargic, you need to take her to a veterinarian for an exam.
