Can I feed my dog liver daily? How much is safe and how often?

No, I would not recommend doing this. Too much raw liver (and cooked liver) can be toxic for dogs in that they will get too much Vitamin A, leading to bone deformity, excessive bone growth on the elbows and spine, weight loss, and anorexia. Your dog's dry food will give him all the nutrients he needs.

Processed food like canned liver should be avoided in dogs. It can have a high salt content and be very fatty which can cause gastrointestinal problems. If you want to give your dog a special treat, try something like freshly prepared meat, like chicken, in small amounts to prevent and stomach upset. I hope this helps. It can be ok in small amounts, but do not give Lily large amounts of it. Calves liver would be better as it has less fat that beef liver, but again in small amounts. No more than 5% of the total diet.

Eggs are fine as an occasional treat, but it's not something that Andy should get daily. The only food that a dog needs is a high quality dog food, which will provide him all the nutrients he needs to be healthy. Adding additional food on top of that will lead to extra calories and weight gain. Weight gain leads to obesity, which in turn leads to its own health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and joint problems. It would be fine to give him a boiled egg (no shell) once or twice a week as a treat. You can also give him a scrambled egg, but make sure it's egg only and no seasonings etc. Good luck, I hope this helps!

While cooked, boiled chicken and beef is OK to give as a treat, it should not be your dog's main source of food. It is much better to feed a balanced diet or commercial dog food that is nutritionally balanced to provide the right nutrition. Feeding only meat is not enough for your dog to stay healthy and growth healthy. You can add in a little piece of boiled meat with the fat trimmed off, however it should not be given as a meal as it can cause digestive upset and nutritional problems.
