What cream can I use for my dog's open lip wound and body sores?

Hello, sorry to hear about Jackie. It looks like he has some lip pyoderma. It would be ideal to put neosporin on it, however, dogs tend to lick this medication and ingestion of it could cause side effects. You could clean the area with skin sensitive baby wipes. If the area does not resolve within 3-5 days, then she may need to have oral antibiotics. Occasionally, this can occur secondary to allergies. It could be skin fold dermatitis, either bacterial or fungal. Until he gets to see the vet, you can try wiping it with a little hydrogen peroxide every day. You can also apply a little Neosporin, but he will probably lick it right off again.

I think though that it would be a good idea to have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. The main reason is making sure that there is no other traumatic injury present that needs to be addressed. Otherwise, at least on the picture it looks fairly superficial so you can plan on applying a thin film of triple antibiotic twice daily until you see your veterinarian. Good luck!

You should speak with your vet as to whether this is suitable for use in or around his mouth. There are similar preparations such as dentisept which are designed specifically for dental and lip fold lesions and may be an alternative if required

This looks like a bacterial and possibly yeast in his skin folds from his saliva. This is really common in larger dogs with large lip folds. You could try to use some medicated wipes like miconahex-triz wipes. If it isn't healing, then I would have your vet take a look at it. He will likely need some antibiotics and possibly an anti-fungal medicine to help this heal. I hope this helps!
