My dog ate licorice jelly beans. Is it toxic? What about xylitol?

Chocolate is toxic to dogs. Milk chocolate is less toxic than dark chocolate and it is dose - dependent. In smaller doses it my just cause vomiting and diarrhea. In larger doses it can cause neurological signs and even death. So if he ate a large amount, I would take him to the veterinarian so they can induce vomiting and get it out if his system.

If the Brach's contained xylitol, it would say it on the label. Since the ingredients say sugar, it won't contain xylitol, so they won't get poisoning from this. The jelly beans could be making Odin nauseous. There's a lot of sugar in jelly beans, and that does cause nausea. I would keep an eye on him for now, and if he is still acting this way in the morning, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
