Dog licking privates, discharge, excessive drinking. Is it a UTI?

You could try to clean the area with a mild soap and water. You can put a cone collar on his to prevent licking so he doesn't make the infection worse. If it's a urinary tract infection, it likely won't get better without oral antibiotics but you can try to encourage him to drink more water to help flush him out. I hope this helps.

Usually penile discharge is due to an infection of the penile tissue itself known as balanitis. His constant licking will be leading to more inflammation. Your vet should be able to treat this easily with antibiotics and it would be good to have him wear a cone to stop the licking whilst it heals.

I would be worried this is a UTI, and no you cannot purchase medication without seeing a vet. Coco needs antibiotics if she has one, and that is available by prescription only from a vet. I would not monitor her for a day, UTIs are painful and uncomfortable to dogs. Please take her into a vet in the morning.

First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). That is likely to be caused by a vaginal and perianal infection (probably secondary to a dermatitis in the perianal region).
