Why is my dog lethargic, not eating, but still wants to go for walks?

Not eating, not drinking and being very quiet or lethargic are typical, if unspecific signs of illness. Since this obviously has started a few days ago and is not getting better, I strongly suggest you have Samantha examined by a veterinarian. She will likely need blood work in addition to a hands-on exam to find out what ails her. If she further deteriorates today, take her to a Pet ER today!

I'm very sorry Sadie isn't feeling well! I can understand they you might be worried, but it is a good sign that she is eating every meal and drinking water. Lethargy is a very general sign of illness, and it can be caused by many different things such as systemic illness, infection, injury, or inflammation. I would monitor her for now, and if she is still lethargic in 24-48 hours, I would take her into the vet for a health check.

Any signs of lethargy, decreased appetite, and acting abnormal, especially in a younger dog, warrant a visit to the veterinarian. A 2 year old Lab should have lots of energy and a good appetite if they are healthy. It is possible that he is systemically sick, either with gastrointestinal disease, liver or kidney disease, or other metabolic issue causing him to feel unwell. He may also be painful somewhere, causing him to not want to eat and walk slowly. I recommend contacting your veterinarian to have him seen at the next available appointment. Your vet will likely recommend bloodwork to look for any evidence of infection or organ abnormalities that can be treated. Do NOT give any pain medications that are intended for humans to Brak n Jan, as these can be fatally toxic to dogs. I hope this is helpful!

Sorry to hear that Sammy isn't acting like himself. Given the unusual behavior he is exhibiting, I would say that it is a good idea to have him examined by a veterinarian for any less obvious irregularities. Some of the possible causes for this type of behavior is stress, pain, or generally feeling under the weather. The veterinarian will hopefully be able to isolate the possible cause of the issue. It could be that Sami overdid it on the walk, and that caused the limping. If she is back to normal with that, I'd keep an eye on her for now. I'm concerning about the vomiting, which isn't normal. Have her seen by a vet for this.
