My Yorkie is lethargic, not eating, and trembling. Should I go to vet?

It sounds that she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. Your vet should be able to offer you an appointment as it does sound like an emergency. If you don't have any luck with your day practice you can always contact an emergency service that is local to you (after 6-7pm during the week) and they will see Kayla. It is hard to say what is going on with your dog without seeing her as the symptoms are not specific for one particular condition. Weakness and lethargy could be a sign of pain, fever, nausea, anaemia, kidney problems and many more.

It sounds like Princess is unwell. She could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I see that she is unspayed, and an infection of the uterus called a pyometra occurs in unspayed dogs and causes these symptoms. For now, I recommend monitoring her. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, and then feed her boiled white meat chicken and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. If she keeps that down, you can slowly add back in her normal diet. Monitor her closely for signs of a pyometra, such as more vomiting, her belly becoming swelling, extreme lethargy, and discharge from her vagina. You can also take her temperature to monitor for fever, which would be above 102.5F. If you see any of those signs I mentioned above, take her into a vet immediately. In addition, if the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomiting the bland diet, she develops diarrhea, she stops drinking water and start vomiting water, or she becomes very lethargic, take her into your vet right away.

Unfortunately his anorexia and lethargy are very general signs of illness, and could be caused by things such a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. The constipation could be due to dehydration, a foreign body, not enough fiber in the diet, lack of exercise, enlarged prostate gland, a mass in the GI tract, or blocked or abscessed anal sacs. The trembling could be due to pain or fever. These are certainly scary and concerning symptoms. I'm sure you are very worried about Bella as am I. I would recommend that Bella be seen by a veterinarian right away as the symptoms you report could be signs of something serious like low blood sugar. She is a tiny little dog and a Yorkie as well so there are some breed related issues that can cause similar signs. Seeing a veterinarian right away will help to rule out many things and hopefully get her feeling better as soon as possible. There could be a number of reasons why Princess isn't eating, drinking, shaking, and not having regular bowel movements. I see that she isn't spayed, and the first thing that comes to my mind is a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. It could also be she got into something rotten or toxic, or could have a foreign body. Her symptoms are very serious, and it's concerning this has been ongoing for three days. I would consider this a medical emergency, especially with the risk of her having a pyometra. She needs veterinary care now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

This is a quite generic but concerning sign. Differentials are many, from gastrointestinal or urinary tract diseases (infection/inflammations often dietary related) to any disease that can spread systemically (causing lethargy and hyperthermia for example) like infection, and anything that can cause pain/discomfort. The approach must be logic. A check up is needed if lethargy lasts for more than 24hours. Sprinkles could have a uterine infection, mild herniated disc in her back or even a mild case of pancreatitis. As long as she is eating and drinking and acting 100% normal you may be ok to watch her for another day or so. But if she gets worse, has decreased activity/energy, or stops eating/drinking or has a vaginal discharge she needs to get checked out by her veterinarian. Do not give any human medication as it can be very toxic to dogs.
