Hi all, My dog took a good wipe out today and knocked out one of his top middle incisors. He doesn’t seem to be experiencing any pain but I’m wondering if there’s anything I should keep an eye out for.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If the gum is bleeding I would be worried about an infected tooth or a foreign body under the gum line. I wouldn’t say it’s an emergency since he is eating but I would recommend it be addressed soon as Max sounds like he is in pain. An emergency vet is likely not going to be able to fix the problem anyway but could prescribe some pain medications if warranted. Please do not give anything over the counter for pain as it may not be safe for pets and could cause delayed treatment for Max. If you wait until Tuesday I would recommend continuing to soften his food with water. Good luck and kisses to Max!
