My dog has fleas. Is K9 Advantix effective and how do I apply it?

It's possible that the product is burning or that he can smell/feel the product on his skin. I don't recommend to re-apply the product and I suspect the application is not the problem. You may try using a hair brush and brushing the area of application. Do check the skin to make sure it's not red/scabbig. This will generally stop within 24 hours.
