Marley has quite significant tartar on his teeth, and there is inflammation of the immediate gums. The white plaques you can see look like ulcers caused by the tartar rubbing on the gums. He will likely need some pain relief and antibiotics, but ultimately he will need the teeth cleaned. I don't think you need to rush him to the vet tonight, but I would try and get him in tomorrow as he could do with some pain relief.

If he is crying, he is pain. I absolutely DO NOT recommend you give him any medication at home. Dogs can be very sensitive to human over the counter medications and these medications can interfere with what the vet wants to give him tomorrow. He will be fine for one day. Just don't try to touch the face/jaw and give him some soft foods to eat (if he will eat). I am a bit worried that he may have a fractured (broken) jaw or an infected tooth.

Your dog needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. He could have an infected tooth/teeth and need extractions and a dental cleaning as soon as possible. Infected gums and teeth can introduce bacteria into the bloodstream that can adversely affect your dog's heart. This problem needs to be addressed now.

I would advise taking her to your vet for an exam after they gather the history. This could be pain, discomfort, infection, inflammation, anatomical problems, among other things. These are very serious signs and indicate dehydration and also possibly an injury or fracture to the jaw. He should receive urgent veterinary assessment in order to assess the jaw and start appropriate treatment in order to maximise the chance of a full recovery

If he will let you without you getting bitten, check inside his mouth for wounds or anything being stuck in his teeth or on the roof of his mouth. If there is something there and you can get it loose without much trouble, try that. However, if you cannot get it loose or there is nothing to be found that could be causing the problem, I recommend getting him seen by your vet as soon as possible.
