Itching can be caused by food allergies. Food poisoning would likley cause some degree of GI upset (vomiting or diarrhea). Since Tiger is young, consider other causes such as skin infection or external parasites (fleas or mites).
Food poisoning is treated based on symptoms. Usually a bland diet and medications to prevent vomiting and diarrhea. Allergies are treated depending on the cause as well. Antibiotics can be given for infection, antihistamines and/or steroids for itching and medications to kill fleas or mites.
Consider a second opinion with another veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis and to begin appropriate treatment.
