My dog came home injured. Why is she losing weight and has raw spots?

In the pictures, she does look quite skinny. I'm concerned she is sick or she could have been injured while she was missing causing the vomiting. The best thing to do for her is take into a vet immediately to get the cause of the vomiting diagnosed so she can be treated. I hope this helps!

Puncture wounds drive hair, bacteria, contamination, etc deep into the skin and even below the skin layer if deep enough. These infections can be very painful and don't always cause a big abscess to form. Also, she may have injured her neck when she was fighting with your other dog. If these signs continue I would advise taking her to your vet and let them gather a history and take a look at her. Once those are performed, they can discuss a diagnostic/treatment plan with you. It is concerning that he is not eating. Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Yoyo evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. I am concerned that these spots on Demi aren’t wounds. Bacterial infection, fungal or yeast infection, mites, poor nutrition, among a few other things may be the culprit. I would recommend having Demi examined by a vet to determine what is going on and get her started on an appropriate treatment.

I am very concerned by these pictures. I worry that the skin may be a manifestation of an underlying health issue. I would highly recommend blood work and a skin biopsy to help identify what the underlying problem is. Unfortunately cancer is high on my list of concerns. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.

Sounds like Strawberry may have become ill or injured while she was gone. It is always best to bring your dog to the vet ASAP after they've been lost for a while to check for any internal or external injuries or illnesses that could be making them sick.
