My dog was injured in a fight and won't let the vet examine him.

I agree that Semper needs to be examined today. Since he is aggressive, he needs to be sedated to be safely examined. No one wants to be injured. I recommend to call another vet and tell them Semper bites and that he needs to be sedated for an exam and treatment. You may need to go to an emergency clinic for treatment as they are better staffed and can handle a same day sedation in general. Eye injuries typically need medications and an elizabethan collar.

Usually dog bites are concerning because of the possible infections that can occur from this as well as the fact that usually you have to let the wounds declare themselves as they will likely worsen from what they look like initially. There is not much you can do at home unfortunately other than trying to keep him quiet as much as possible to avoid further injury. His limping may be due to soft tissue trauma. I am definitely concerned about Huerra's bite wounds. The wounds on her leg look deep, and I always recommend flushing and exploring bite wounds under sedation since often there is even more damage under the surface. I would recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian. They would be able to prescribe pain medication and antibiotics to prevent infection as well.

There is usually even more trauma than what you can appreciate in cases of dog fights. There may be cuts that need suturing, wounds that need antibiotics and the need for pain control medications as it sounds like he is very sore. This is a medical emergency and your dog has to see a vet tonight if he's still bleeding and in a lot of pain. He likely needs stitches to close up his wound, and there is nothing safe you can give him at home for his pain. Many human pain medications are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. This wound can become severely infected if left untreated, and he will still be in a lot of pain. I would let your mother know you spoke to a veterinarian who told you that he has to see a vet now. Your mom can check to see if there is an ER vet clinic in your area; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Please take him into a vet now.

I would take Snickers into a vet immediately. Any problems around the eye is considered an emergency because it's such as delicate and important structure. In addition, he needs his eye checked to make sure that the globe itself wasn't harmed. The fact that he won't let you touch it tells me it's hurting him. Please take him into a vet now.
