My female dog is in heat and vomiting. Is this normal or concerning?

Pet's info: Dog | Shar Pei | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old

My 14 month old Shar pei has come into her 2nd season over the last couple of days but she is vomiting...help!! I don't know if this is normal.... she eats ok but I am slightly worried.

I am so sorry to hear that Coco is not well! I would also be concerned if she is vomiting and not feeling well. It is possible it is related to her intact status- uterine infections, for example, can cause you to be very ill. It is also possible that it is unrelated- viruses, dietary indiscretion and foreign bodies are also examples of common causes of vomiting. It would be safest to take her in and have an exam done and possibly other tests to see if there is an underlying cause that can be remedied. I hope it is nothing too serious!
