Can dogs have human turmeric? What's the safe dosage for my dog?

Some dogs are more sensitive to it than others, and can get mild GI upset. However, most likely your dog will be just fine. Let your vet know if you see any vomiting, diarrhea, or decreased appetite. Hello. By itself, I do not think there is any concern feeding turmeric milk to your puppy, but some kinds will have different amounts of sweeteners & herbs in them. Not that any of this is dangerous, but I can not tell you if this may affect your puppy at all. Hello and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Quercetin is a supplement that has many applications and appears to be safe and well tolerated in dogs. One product that I have seen used that seems to be safe and effective is NaturVet Aller-911 Allergy Aid chews. This has 25mg of Quercetin in it, which would be a safe dose. This brand can be found online or at your local pet store such as PetCo. I would also recommend Welactin omega 3 fish oil capsules to help reduce inflammation and Turmeric root can also help reduce inflammation. I would not stop the benazepril. Unfortunately there is no scientific proof tumeric works, and leaving Lucy's CHF untreated would be awful for her. You can give it to her in addition to the benazepril.

Turmeric is said to possess natural anti inflammatory properties. It may also promote regulation of blood glucose levels. Sprinkling this spice on food is not as effective as making a paste. The paste is better metabolized reaping the most benefits. You can use your preferred online search engine and search for "golden paste, turmeric" for a recipe of which there are many.
