My Boston Terrier has a growing eyelid bump. What could this be?

Brixton's eye does look irritated - this could be a papule and a sign of infection secondary to allergies or it might be a true skin growth or mass. I'd recommend having your vet examine her in person, particularly since her eye is irritated. You could use an e-collar or cone to prevent her from rubbing until you can see the vet.

Try applying a warm compress on it for five minutes at a time a couple of times day to see if that helps it drain. If it does not help, it gets bigger, or starts to bother him, then I would have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

It doesn't look like a bump, it looks more like red skin like she scraped it or something. The eyeball itself looks fine and the eye does not appear red or irritated which is good. I suggest you just monitor this throughout the weekend and if no improvement by early next week then get her to your vet for an exam. I don't think I'd be too worried at this stage. Hope this helps. It could even be a growth though thankfully most of the eyelid growths in dogs are benign. I would continue to monitor it for now. If it goes away then great. However, if it does not go away and actually continues to grow, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to look into this further and see what seems more likely. Best of luck!

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It very definitely can be an allergic reaction to a sting or bite. If it is not bothering him, then there is probably not too much to worry about, You can apply a cold compress to the area ( a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel works well ) for 5-10 minutes every hour or so, but if he begins whining, scratching his face, or pawing at his eyes, you may need to run him in to your vet for steroids, &/or antihistamines. Hopefully, it will start to go down soon. Take care.

Without a picture or examining Laila it's difficult to say what is going on for sure. Dogs can get small tumors on their eyelids called meibomian gland tumors and normally these are benign. However, I'm a little concerned that it has gotten larger overnight. It could also be an area of infection or a more serious tumor type. If you can post a picture of Laila it may be helpful to give you further advice. If not, it would be best to err on the side of caution and have Laila examined by your veterinarian. Hello. That looks like a small growth/tumor that originated in a tear-producing gland. Without an actual biopsy, we cannot say the exact type or if it is benign/malignant. However, the majority are Meibomian Gland Adenomas and typically are benign. They can bleed, cause inflammation or infection and, if large enough, can irritate or even scratch the cornea.
