My dog has growing bumps on its groin. When should I see a vet?

It could be a small insect bite or minor skin infection, the rest of her skin looks pretty normal. Keep an eye on it, keep it clean with a warm damp washcloth and rub in a small amount of triple antibiotic ointment without steroid, as steroids slow healing. If it doesn't improve significantly in a few days, gets worse, spreads, or if she starts feeling sick or itching, get her an appointment with her vet.

This is very tiny and probably nothing but i can't tell you what it is at this point and without testing it. monitor it over several weeks, if it continues growing take him to the vet in order to get it checked.

This bump looks like it could be a hair follicle or infection, insect bite, or a skin growth. If it is not going away in 5-7 days, seems to be growing larger, or if it seems painful or itchy you should have your vet examine Yogi.

This looks like a small pustule - like a pimple from an infected hair follicle. I suggest you use these medicated pads on that lesion 1-2 times per day. It depends a little on where these are and what they feel like. I am assuming under the skin if felt but not seen. If they are back in the groin/where the leg and groin meet and are on opposite sides from each other then they may be inguinal lymph nodes. If this is the case, especially if you're finding any other lymph node enlargement (the ones under the jaw are the easiest for owners to find), I would have your girl checked out by your vet. If these are just lumps under the skin they likely represent of mass of some sort. Are they freely moveable? There are several different types of masses that dogs can get under their skin, some more concerning than others. A very common benign tumor is a fatty tumor called a lipoma, but as other more concerning tumors can feel the same as a lipoma, I typically recommend that all masses be evaluated with needle cytology to know for sure. This is a simple procedure that your family vet can perforn. If fat is noted from this needle aspiration then no treatment other than monitoring is needed. If you elect to monitor for a while at home, and don't think that these are lymph nodes, just make sure that you're not noticing growth or a change in texture or the ability to move the mass around. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The pinker skin growths in your first picture tend to be benign and are sebaceous adenomas. For some reason some dogs grow a lot of them. The pinker bump in her groin could be the same type of growth or different. If you never noticed it before and she is now licking it it could be infected or a mast cell tumor. The darker spots are darken skin from licking. It could also be a skin infection but it is hard to tell from just pictures. My recommendation is to have your Vet examine that larger lump and the skin in her groin. She may just need antibiotics and itch relief but worse case she may need the growth removed if it is suspicious. I wish Honey the best!
