My dog won't go in the room where my cat passed. Is he grieving?

My previous cat Meekah passed away yesterday morning now her brother (a 90 pound brindle pitbull named Corndog) is not wanting to stay in the living room where Meekah passed

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am so sorry for your loss. It is very possible that this is because he can smell her presence in the room. I recommmend that you try to clean the room as much as possible and to give him some time for him to get used not having his sister around. This can take time just like when we lose someone we love.
