Most of veterinarians will avoid using two topical medications, in the hopes of avoiding interactions or side effects. Each product has different chemicals and if you use two topical products, you want to be sure they are safe together. Have you thought about using something like a Preventic collar? This collar works very well for ticks. You put it on Benji when you are going to areas that have ticks. When you are no longer worried about ticks, you store the collar in a baggie in a cool, dark place. It will remain effective for 6-8 months. It is certainly not too much to use a Seresto collar with Sentinel! In my experience, Sentinel alone is not sufficient for proper flea control, but is great for heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention. The Seresto collar will prevent ticks and fleas, which is quite important. To answer your question, yes, use both! :-)

Hi and thanks for your request. The combination between Trifexis and Frontline Plus is safe and possible. Frontline plus is a fairly good repellent for ticks. Make sure you use it at the right dosage and with the right posology.

It is ok to use Seresto along with other topical products, just not oral ones. In some pets there can be a little skin irritation, so watch out for that and notify your vet if this happens. Otherwise, you should be fine to go ahead with Seresto to see if this does the trick. I would also recommend using a flea fogger to treat your home, which can be found at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. If you still don't have good results with the Seresto collar, then I would wait at least 2 weeks and consider better products such as Simparica or Nexgard. I would advise against this. Advocate is fairly complete except tick prevention. If you have concerns about ticks, I recommend to switch to something like Simparica and Intercepor or you can use a collar specifically for ticks called a Preventic collar. You could use both if you wanted to, as these two products work in different ways and do not have any harmful interactions. But, using both would be unnecessary - they both cover fleas and ticks. Because of this, I would recommend using one or other other, rather than both.
