What happens if I use Advocate and Seresto collar on my dog?

It would not be recommended to do this, as a Seresto collar and Advantage II have the same active ingredients - so you would essentially be giving your dog a double dose of medication, which may not be safe. It shouldn't be necessary to use two different flea control medications as long as you are using an appropriate size/dose for your dog's weight. If you are already using one of these products and are finding that it is not effective, I would recommend switching to a different flea medication entirely, such as Nexgard or Bravecto - these are both much more effective in my experience.

It is certainly not too much to use a Seresto collar with Sentinel! In my experience, Sentinel alone is not sufficient for proper flea control, but is great for heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention. The Seresto collar will prevent ticks and fleas, which is quite important. To answer your question, yes, use both! :-)

It is ok to use Seresto along with other topical products, just not oral ones. In some pets there can be a little skin irritation, so watch out for that and notify your vet if this happens. Otherwise, you should be fine to go ahead with Seresto to see if this does the trick. I would also recommend using a flea fogger to treat your home, which can be found at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. If you still don't have good results with the Seresto collar, then I would wait at least 2 weeks and consider better products such as Simparica or Nexgard. You could use both if you wanted to, as these two products work in different ways and do not have any harmful interactions. But, using both would be unnecessary - they both cover fleas and ticks. Because of this, I would recommend using one or other other, rather than both.

Great question! There are so many products it can be hard to navigate. If you are already using advantage multi for fleas and heart worm prevention there are several options you could add in for tick control. I wouldn’t recommend using a topical flea medication at the same time as a seresto collar. Also remember Swresto doesn’t prevent heart worms which Revolution does so you would need to get a different heart worm prevention as well.

Yes a Seresto collar and Nexgard can be used together, however both Nexgard and Seresto are highly effective against fleas and ticks and therefore it is not necessary to double up. You can just as effectively use either on its own.
