My dog ate French fries, threw up, and has soft poop. Is this normal?

It may cause a little bit of gastrointestinal upset so monitor for vomiting and diarrhea. You could feed a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice if he has any gastrointestinal issues but he should be examined by your vet if any clinical signs persist.

If it is just from changing his diet then this should stop very shortly. However, if this is due to something else such as pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among other possibilities then this is unlikely to resolve and a veterinary evaluation would be indicated for further assessment and treatment. It is concerning that Fablo has been vomiting and not pooping. It makes me wonder if he has diarrhea or did have diarrhea. If he continues to vomit, becomes lethargic, doesn't want to eat or has blood in the stool or vomit he needs to see a veterinarian as soon as possible. If he eats it and keeps it down, you can offer him more in 2-3 hrs. However, if he refuses to eat, vomits or if he is not passing stools as normal, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment.

I would bring a fresh stool sample with you so the vet can check for microscopic parasites. There are many different types of parasites that can cause diarrhea and there is no one medication to treat them all. They may also want to test Lieo for parvovirus as this is common in young puppies and causes vomiting and diarrhea. Either way, Lieo needs medical treatment to prevent further fluid loss which will lead to dehydration. Once they have a cause they can get him medications to help him recover. Maxi can get pancreatitis from this or diarrhea and vomiting. I would recommend giving her a bland diet (boiled chicken and white rice) just to calm everything down and then monitor her. If she starts vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, becomes lethargic then I recommend bringing her to a veterinarian.
