My dog sheds too much. What dog food helps reduce excessive shedding?

I can recommend Triglyceride Omega by Vetoquinol but there is a wide choice of products on the market. After 3-4 weeks of supplementation you should see improvement.

Most likely, you will not be able to prevent shedding, especially if your dog is a larger breed with a double coat, such as a Labrador Retriever, or German Shepherd Dog. Feed you dog the highest quality dog food you can afford and make sure to get one that is appropriate for his current life stage, puppy, adult, mature. If he is shedding excessively, this could indicate some kind of skin condition that should be examined by your veterinarian so that it can be diagnosed and treated.

I really like the American journey wild Alaskan salmon oil product for this purpose. I think this product can help Buddy a lot with his hair coat. Good luck!

See what happens when you switch the food. If she continues to have the problem, or if it remains chronic instead of going away, discuss a food trial with a hydrolyzed protein with your veterinarian.
