My dog has food allergies. Are eggs a complete diet for her?

Royal canin makes other hypoallergenic diets such as rabbit and potato or Iams makes kangaroo and Oats. Purina and science diet have their share are hypoallergenic diets also it might be worth trying one of these and possibly rotating some so she does not get bored. Food allergy testing through blood is it very accurate, typically trial and error with food is more reliable

I would try hills z/d ultra or royal canin anallergenic (an even more restricted version). Ensure also she is not receiving any additional treats, flavored tablets, bones, table scraps or raiding any garbage bins. She may also require prescription medication to resolve the current flare up. A home prepared diet may be an option but would have to be formulated with the help of an expert nutritionalist and can only comprise of novel ingredients (foods she has never eaten before such as kangaroo/venison/sweet potato etc - these are very difficult to supplement sufficiently and are very expensive to maintain in the long term)

Dogs are omnivores and can get enough nutrition from a balanced commercial vegetarian food. If you would like to try a meat diet, you could consider a novel protein diet. A novel protein is one that Buddy hasn't eaten before. You could consider venison, bison, fish or duck. Home prepared diets can be very difficult to balance long term and I strongly recommend a consult with a specialist nutritionist such as through tuft clinical nutrition unit in order to ensure he is receiving all of the trace elements, vitamins, minerals and energy he requires. In food sensitivities, a hydrolyzed diet such as royal canin hypoallergenic can be very effective also. Chicken and rice is a very bland and effective diet in the short to medium term but would need supplemental feeding in the long term

I am sorry to hear about Azul! It is possible she could eat duck or turkey without issue but I would probably try offering it in small amounts and monitoring her closely. With food allergies we must be very careful because over the counter diets can be contaminated with other protein sources due to being produced in the same factory or due to poor quality control. In cases of severe allergy then prescription veterinary diets are recommended. With these diets, the entire factory is dedicated to a specific diet and all equipment is cleaned to ensure there is no cross-contamination. I would not recommend jumping back and forth between diets with different protein sources as this can lead to us not having any protein sources to resort to if a dog develops an allergy to their current one. I would stick with a diet if it is working for Azul until/unless a problem arises.

Your dog should be eating dog food regularly. Homemade diets rarely have the correct amount of nutrients that our pets need and this can lead to medical problems in the long run. I would recommend trying to find a diet that is made from pork. There are several companies that specialize in making limited ingredient diets. You can also try other novel proteins like rabbit, venison, or kangaroo based dog foods.
