My dog takes fluoxetine. Can I give him Benadryl for allergies?

These signs may be from the prednisolone which is a steroid. It would be better to call your vet to discuss decreasing the dose to reduce the symptoms. Benadryl does not always cause sedation and in some dogs can cause hyperexcitabilty. But, yes you can give all 3 together safely. Gabapentin and Benadryl are ok to give at the same time, however you should consult with your vet as your vet knows your dog's history and can assess the necessity/impact of Benadryl on your dog. It is likely that Benadryl in combination with the gabapentin makes your dog sleepy.

Plus it doesn't help with vomiting. I think the best thing is to have her seen by a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Poor girl. Benadryl is an antihistamine so unfortunately it won't do her any favors here because it is unlikely that this is an allergic reaction . It is best to get her seen by a veterinarian to look for the underlining cause of her illness. There are very few strains of the flu that can be transferred to our pets, but there is that slight possibility. Also if she is sick she will need prescription medication through your veterinarian to get her well again. They may have to do some baseline bloodwork to get a good picture of what is going on with her and potentially even x-rays if she is having any coughing symptoms or abnormal lung sounds. There is no contraindication to giving Deramaxx and diphenhydramine (Benadryl) together. Dogs on Deramaxx should avoid any other non-steroidal anti inflammatory pain medications, corticosteroids like prednisone, and aspirin.

Yes you can, there is no major interactions between Benadryl and these other medications but i would always recommend consulting the vet that is treating Tater-Tot on a regular basis to make sure he is ok with it too.
