Dog has red splotches from flea treatment. How to treat allergic reaction?

what can you give a dog for what appears to be an allergic reaction to a flea treatment that has caused red splotches on the abdomen and on the skin where the treatment was put

If you suspect the flea treatment is responsible for this i recommend washing your dog very well with an anti allergenic dog shampoo, it will take several days to clear up but other than that no other treatment is usually required.
