Why did my dog's fever spike in the car but is normal at home?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 30 lbs

When I went to vet , he told that hero's lymph has been swellon and difficult in walking when he gets up in morning but fine after sometime. He gave antibiotics and painkillers and hero's condition progressed means now his swelling decreased after 3 days of medication his fever came 103.6 °C AND at home it was normal. Actually hero is very uncomfortable with car and we were stuck in traffic for 1 hours so his temp increased within car as I was holding.his blood test r normal and he's playing ..

Your question got cut off - there are limited characters. However, I can try to give you a little information based on what I can read. I would not regard a temperature taken during or right after a car ride as this could raise the temperature from anxiety. Continue on all the medications given to you by your vet as s/he prescribed. I am glad that he seems to feel better! If there was a further question, feel free to post again. Hope that helps!
