Why does my hyper pit bull fall and stiffen like a fainting goat?

It sounds like Blessing may have had a partial seizure, especially if he seemed disoriented for a little while after he was able to move again. Some other possibilities would be ingestion of a toxin, low blood sugar or liver disease, although I would expect these to cause just one incident like you describe. The breathing, clear eye discharge and lethargy are all somewhat vague signs that could be a sign of a number of different diseases. I would recommend having him examined by your veterinarian - they may recommend screening lab work especially if they are suspicious of a seizure as well. They can also listen to his lungs and examine his eyes to make sure everything is okay. If he has any other episodes similar to the one last night you should try to get a video to show your veterinarian.

That sounds scary! Zeus needs to be examined by his veterinarian today if possible. It sounds like he may have had a seizure or a syncopal episode. Pets can have seizures for many reasons including liver disease, electrolyte imbalance, infections, inner ear problems, cancer or epilepsy. Syncopal episodes are generally related to the heart. He will need a physical exam and bloodwork to begin to narrow down and appropriately address the cause. Seizures are serious and are best addressed early. It almost sounds like you are describing narcolepsy/cataplexy. This is a disease that is usually inherited so it would be strange for you to seen signs now, although it can be associated with some other diseases. Other possibilities would be a heart condition, hypoglycemia related to pancreatic disease, or neurologic diseases like myasthenia gravis. I would recommend having her examined by your veterinarian. It could be helpful for you to video an episode before your appointment if possible.

I'm so so sorry that Freddy is having these episodes. I am sure they are very scary. It is difficult to know whether he is having a fainting episode or a seizure. If you can, I would try to catch the episodes on video so that you can show your vet and maybe they can determine which one it was. Fainting can happen from heart disease, abnormal electrical activity of the heart, low blood pressure. Seizures can happen from epilepsy, brain tumor, infection around the brain or organ problems like liver disease, low blood sugar. Unfortunately it can take a lot of testing to figure out the cause so you can know how best to treat Freddy as there are very different treatments based on what the real problem is.

Falling over suddenly is usually a neuroligal incident such as a seizure or stroke etc, or a cardiovascular or other incident resulting in a fainting episode. I would take Dory to the vet for an exam if this is the first time this has occured.

Tyson urgently needs to be seen by your veterinarian as he could be suffering from so-called syncopes. As he is a geriatric dog, his heart may be compromised, so when he gets excited when you get home, it may not transport enough oxygenated blood to his brain and he faints. This is called a syncope. There may also be other reasons for this, and a veterinary exam will help find the cause for the "losing consciousness". Epilepsy may be another cause. Your vet may want to do chest x rays and blood tests.

Shaking can sometimes be an indication of pain or discomfort in dogs or can be a symptom of certain endocrine diseases. I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. In this case, it is very hard to say for certain what is going on with Mya without examining her first. A veterinary exam would be a good place to start so she can be evaluated head to tail.
