Why does my dog get excited for one blanket and sit on my lap?

You may have inadvertently trained Marley to be such a cuddler - he obviously feels most secure when he's close to you. If you dont like this, you'll have to spend time training him to sleep and rest in his own bed. This is not an overnight process, but is best done with food and verbal rewards. When he is in his bed, toss him small training treats. You can also move his food bowl to be closer to his bed. If he sleeps in bed with you, have his bed on the floor and give him praise when he goes in it. It may be much too warm for him in your bed. He feels secure in your presence and therefore he will sleep near you. He apparently also feels secure enough to chew on his toys while touching you. However I think you should not let him do that as it may be a sign of disrespect as in "haha, I can chew my toy on you and you don't dare take my toy from me!"

This is typically associated with the nursing behavior seen in puppies. Adults dogs who do this behavior do it for comfort, as it mimics how puppies nurse from their mother. You can take away her access to blankets to stop her from doing this. If it isn't possible to take away her access, I would distract her immediately when she tries to do this behavior. Try to engage her play or give her a toy filled with a treat to move her attention away from the blanket.
