The published dose is 15mg/lb 2-3 times daily but you should always check with your veterinarian first before giving anything, including supplements. Your vet may have a preferred vendor or source. Since it is a supplement, it is not regulated by the FDA which can lead to wide variations in amounts, ingredients and quality. Additionally, it can cause GI upset in some dogs and should not be given to dogs on certain antibiotics, chemo or blood thinners.
There is a product, For-Bid, that is specifically for dogs that eat stool. It is sprinkled on food. You may be able to purchase it online, in the local Petco or from your veterinarian. Rule out other causes for the behavior such as boredom, curiosity, or nutritional deficiency.
