What's the right amount of dry food for my 25 lb Labradoodle daily?

Every bag of dog food has different feeding instructions because it is based on the individual calories of the food. She will need to eat a puppy food and if she is expected to be over 55 pounds as an adult, she needs to eat a large breed puppy food. Feed the amount recommended on the bag based upon her bodyweight. As she grows, you will need to increase the food. Your veterinarian can help you to determine if she has a good body condition score. At this age she shouldn't need to be fed more than twice a day, unfortunately some dogs (especially Labradors and their crosses) are never satisfied with the quantity of food given to them, they will always have room for more, you just need to feed her the quantity she needs, if she isn't skinny then she is probably getting the correct amount of food and you should keep the same regime of feeding.

However, because her weight will be changing continuously as she grows. First of all i would not recommend soaking any dog food in water. if she is just slightly overweight you can put her on an over the counter reduced calorie dry food, you can chose the same brand you are using at the moment or any other brand that you find in your pet shop. if she is more than a little bit overweight then she will need a prescription low calorie food from your vet. for each food the quantity will be different but it will be written on the food label with clear instructions.

That depends on the food that you are feeding! Different types of dog food will contain a different number of calories per cup of food. I recommend starting with the feeding recommendations found on the bag of food you are using. There will usually be a grid that has the body weight and daily food amount. I recommend dividing the daily food amount into 2 feedings, AM and PM. Some dogs have a higher or lower metabolism than the average dog, so after feeding for a month, I re-evaluate and see if we need to increase or decrease that feeding amount to get them to their ideal body weight.

As long as he is acting normally - good energy level, still good appetite - the one episode of vomiting is not overly concerning. You did a good thing by slowly changing the diet. I'm not sure if the "pedigree puppy veg" food is a vegetarian food, but if it is, I would absolutely not feed Goofy a vegetarian diet! These can be extremely dangerous to dogs, and are linked to heart disease, specifically dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) especially in labradors, golden retrievers and dobermans. Please make sure the diet is not vegetarian or grain free. Whatever diet you choose should be formulated for puppies, or "growth", should contain grains, and should say on the side of the bag how much kibble you should be feeding based on Goofy's weight. If the diet you have is not vegetarian, that's great! And he should likely be fed 1.5 to 2.5 cups total per day. I hope this is helpful!
