My 6-month Labradoodle is always hungry. Should I spread her meals?

Try spacing out the food over three feeds a day. You can also try to add extra fiber to the food, such as bran, in order to bulk it up and make her stomach fuller. Make sure the food you are feeding (I am not familiar with it) is labeled as a complete puppy food for medium breeds. If not, I would change over to a food by a company that offers scientific formulas such as Iams. Hills, Purina ProPlan, etc. Make sure you transition slowly over about a week's time. Take Calli to your vet for a weigh-in and find out if she is a proper weight. Hunger is not necessarily correlated with not being fed enough. If she is the proper weight but keeps begging for food it is rather a behavioral thing.

Every dog will be a little bit different in terms of nutritional demands, based on their metabolism and activity level, and every food is a little different in its calorie content. So, start with what the bag recommends for his size, and adjust it as needed according to what his body shape is doing. You want to be able to easily feel his ribs without seeing them. I would anticipate with Maverick's age and size he should be getting somewhere around 1.5 cups daily total, divided into 3-4 small meals (so, about 3 meals of 1/2 cup each could be a good starting point - but make sure this sounds consistent with the feeding instructions on that bag, since as discussed every food is a little different). Maverick should be getting his puppy vaccines every 3-4 weeks now until hes 16 weeks old, so your vet can help you evaluate his feeding amount next time they see him. It is normal for many dogs (especially labs!) to be very enthusiastic about food and to scarf it down very quickly. Left to their own devices, many dogs will eat themselves to sickness, so you cannot take is enthusiasm for eating as a sign that he needs more. Rather, adjust his food based on how his body shape is responding to his current feeding regimen. Make sure you're feeding him a high quality puppy food (it should be labeled for puppies, not "all life stages" or adults). Hope this helps!

Every bag of dog food has different feeding instructions because it is based on the individual calories of the food. She will need to eat a puppy food and if she is expected to be over 55 pounds as an adult, she needs to eat a large breed puppy food. Feed the amount recommended on the bag based upon her bodyweight. As she grows, you will need to increase the food. Your veterinarian can help you to determine if she has a good body condition score. Puppies, and Labradors especially, tend to be food motives and some of them can be food obsessed. May sure your puppy is not too thin, if he is then increase the food. Purina 1 is a good diet but if you are looking to change, Royal Canin makes a diet specifically for Labs and it addresses their healthy appetites! They make a puppy and an adult formula and the pets tend to do really well on this diet. Adding canned veggies can also help him to feel full. Get the no salt added variety and watch for any diarrhea as it increases his fiber. Stick to peas, carrots or green beans. It actually depends on the type of food. Usually, the bag has directions for daily amount somewhere on the bag or box. Otherwise, you can find this information online. Pay attention to the daily amount. The daily amount should be spread out throughout the day (morning, +/- afternoon, night). Feeding more meals is better than less. It's good that you are asking this question, because overfeeding and in-turn obesity is a big problem with pets. You simply start giving him more food per feeding just twice a day instead of smaller meals 3 times a day. Make sure you are feeding the correct total amount between the two feedings. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Puppy food is calorie-dense, so as to meet the energy needs of high-energy puppies. You can try breaking the amount into smaller, more frequent meals (ie three or four times a day) so she feels like she is getting to eat more. I would not over-feed her for fear of early onset obesity, which can lead to significant health issues later in life. You can also supplement her diet with healthy treats during the day such as carrots or green beans. After she is spayed, her energy requirements will decrease and she will need to be fed less food so she doesn't become overweight. I hope this is helpful!
