My dog has a dark, bloody bump on her belly. Should I worry?

It may be a blood clot or blood blister. If you pop it you will likely get blood out and it will refill. It is best to have your vet remove it to make sure it is not a cancerous growth. This will be able to tell if there is an infection associated with it also

This looks like it could be a cyst or a skin tumor like a hemangioma. I find that once a skin growth ruptures it tends to happen again, so I would definitely recommend making an appointment to see your veterinarian. They will probably recommend surgically removing this growth.

I recommend you put some folded gauze on the lesion to stop the bleeding and tape that on. You should have this examined by your veterinarian, as there are various conditions that can cause this: 1) a coagulation disorder, 2) cutaneous hemangiosarcoma) 3) a severe bruise 4) other trauma. Depending on the size of the blood vessel that is bleeding, or the cause this may be dangerous.

This looks like a possible mass that has a really good blood supply or even a blood blister. I would try applying a cold compress on it for 5-10 minutes, if a vet is not readily available. If you can get the bleeding to stop tonight I would leave it be for now and then get this checked in the morning by your vet if possible. However if you cannot get the bleeding to stop even after the cold compress and perhaps even placing a make-shift wrap around it, then an ER vet visit has to be considered to stabilize the area. However, an ER vet visit is usually only needed if it is gushing blood, for fear or too much blood loss. If it is oozing then it likely can wait until morning before seeking veterinary assistance. That area could be a ruptured abscess, a ruptured cyst or the previous home of a worm larvae. You can continue treating it like you are. Make sure Eleven wears and elizabethan collar at all times to prevent any licking which could make it worse. Based on the pictures, it does not look like a tick. It looks like a skin mass. Have your vet take a look at him to determine exactly what it is. Your vet may want to aspirate or biopsy to diagnose.

Poor Baby! Due to its dark color and it's changing nature, I would have your vet take a look at it. It could just be a benign blood cyst and nothing to worry about, but it could also be a malignant tumor that needs to be safe.
