My dog is crying, spinning, and unable to get up. What's wrong?

This sounds like he has bad back or hip pain. He needs veterinary attention right away. They will prescribe pain medication and may do X-rays to determine if he has hip or spinal arthritis. With treatment he should improve if he was fine before. Sometimes back or arthritis pain is worse after a lot of activity, or from being confined and not being able to move around. Caddy looks really uncomfortable in the photos. It sounds like there is a source of pain, judging from the photos, thid could be pain in the abdomen or in the back or legs. It may also be something simple like full anal glands. I would give him an hour or so to see if he settles in case its just a gassy tummy, but if he doesnt I would take him in for an examination.

Poor Rex! It sounds like he is quite sore. If he doesn't want to stand, and is whining and crying, then he needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. He'll need to be examined as he may have a fracture in the leg which is why he is in so much pain, or could have damages nerves in the leg. Once the vet has isolated where the pain is coming from then they may want to do X-rays in order to figure out exactly why Rex is so sore.
