Hi, I've a 7 yr old cocker spaniel who moved from Ireland 2 weeks ago. We've been spending lots of time with her to make sure her transition is healthy, her bed, food bowls, toys were all here before she arrived. She's been sleeping in the living room on her mattress or on the sofa. Three days ago she got scared because of fireworks and started crying, scratching and banging on our door. I brought her in. Last night she started doing the same ALL night even though no fire works. What should I do?

It definitely could be because of the fireworks, especially if she is not used to them or was separated from you during them when she is normally with you instead. I would give her a couple days to calm down and see if that helps. If the strange behavior continues even after a few days of no more fireworks, a visit to your vet to rule out any health issues is always a good idea as well.
