Why is my dog coughing and spitting phlegm? Is it kennel cough?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 15 lbs

My dog is starting to cough but then it stops for couple of hours then comes back and starts spitting out like phlegm, what can i do to help him get better?

Poor guy. It sounds like Dorado has likely contracted a bit of an upper respiratory bug (kennel cough). This is treated with antibiotics through your vet. Schedule an appt soon to have him evaluated and likely put on a short course of antibiotics to clear things up. To help protect him in the future, its best to have his Bordetella (Kennel cough) vaccine given once every 6 months instead of yearly.
