My 3y/o miniature dachshund was taken to the emergency clinic last Tuesday (11/28) for bloody mucinous stool. He was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. He was kept overnight and given fluids and antibiotics intravenously. I have been giving him 2ml of metronidazole and amoxicillin, each twice daily. He been eating boiled chicken, fat free cottage cheese, and white rice since. He had a small soft bowel movement on Thurs and Fri, but not since. It is sun (12/3) and still no BM. What to do
