Why does my dog collapse, pee, and have white gums after exercise?

I hate to hear that your friends dog is so sick! Make sure to stay in contact with the veterinarian and follow all the recommendations. The pale gums are concerning for blood loss or not producing enough red blood cells. This condition could cause a seizure but would normally show up on bloodwork. Seizures can be caused by many conditions including toxins, brain tumors, infections in the brain, liver disease, low blood sugar or epilepsy. Bloodwork will generally also help to determine if one of these is the cause of the disease. Urinating uncontrollably is worrisome for a bladder infection, a problem with the sphincter or a neurological disease. This sounds like a complicated illness and the pup may need various diagnostics and even sometimes a repeating of diagnostics to look for progression. So sorry about your dog. Besides it being caused by a seizure disorder, he could have something like laryngeal paralysis, collapsing trachea or be having a syncopal (fainting) episode from a heart problem. You could try to record one so your vet can see exactly what is happening. If the episodes continue and your vet is not able to control them, ask for a referral to a specialist for more testing. It might be a good idea to take a chest x-ray, have an ultrasound of his heart, and/or examination of his throat to look for laryngeal paralysis. Hope he gets better soon!

It sounds like Misha may have had a seizure, as that would cause her to be out of it for some time, urinate herself, and take time to return to normal. She may have hit her head when she fell off the sofa, and that could have caused the seizure. Please keep in mind that without seeing her in person, I cannot say for certain if she had a seizure, but it sounds like it could be from your description. Because of her young age, the fact she fell off the sofa, and the possibility she could have had a seizure from head trauma, she should see a vet immediately to be safe. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. It sounds suspicious for a seizure . Kayla could have a seizure for a few reasons. The most common is epilepsy but toxins, liver disease or brain tumors can also cause seizures. It’s possible she had a seizure. If she does not steadily return to normal over the next few hours, it would be best to have her checked by your vet in the morning. Routine screeening bloodwork can help determine if a liver or kidney issue could be the cause of the seizure. Medical treatment for seizures is usually not started unless the pet has multiple seizures in one month, repeated seizures or a grand mal seizure lasting more than several minutes. Seizures generally have a pre-ictal phase where the pet is anxious and may vomit, the ictal phase during which paddling/convulsions are seen, and the post-ictal phase where the pet is disoriented and often wobbly. I'm concerned that Gilby's issue may be more related to a possible heart condition or other health problem rather than being caused by the collision with the lab. It sounds like he may have been having a series of syncopal episodes. Its also possible that this was seizure activity that you were seeing. Take Gilby to your vet to be evaluated. If he's still doing fine its not super urgent.... you don't need to rush to an ER... however, make an appointment if at all possible in the next couple of days. Poor Georgie, This sounds quite distressing for you all. I would recommend having her evaluated again by your veterinarian. Episodes of collapse, especially associated with exercise could indicate any number of issues. Black poop can indicate internal bleeding, which should also be investigated. Your vet may recommend some diagnostics such as a fecal exam, bloodwork and X-rays or an ultrasound to try and determine what is going on.
