It is usually caused by a scratch, foreign material, blunt trauma, or caustic substance irritation to the eye. You need to take Zeus to your local vets for an appointment as soon as possible. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, Zeus most likely will need a course of eye drops and anit-inflammatory medication. Untreated corneal ulcer can turn into a melting ulcer, which can cause loss of vision in that eye.

The vet can check the pressures inside the eye, and prescribe medications to help reduce pressure or inflammation.
