I'm concerned about a dog treat product being sold in my local supermarket. The ingredients are: Milk and dairy products Oils and fats Sugar Derivatives of vegetable origin (3% cacao) Minerals And some additives, flavourings and vitamins. I'm mostly surprised about the cacao. It's marketed as a dog treat, but I thought cacao was toxic to dogs. Is this safe to feed a dog?

Thankfully with chocolate doesn't contain cocoa which is the toxic component for dogs. The other ingredients should he fine although I wouldn't be surprised if your dogs may get an upset stomach but it shouldn't be serious.
