My dog chewed a pillow and is vomiting and has diarrhea. Is he okay?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Olde English Bulldogge | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 65 lbs

Dog was kenneled for about an hour, he chewed up a new dog pillow. He has watery runs, constant drool and threw up his dinner. Still active in the yard and isn't acting sick. His stomach is rumbling.

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question. Oh no, that's not good. I suspect the pillow has upset his stomach. My concern here is that he is having both vomiting and diarrhea, and is clearly nauseous (constant drooling). Due to this, a home remedy is never recommended and he needs to see a vet. I would take him into one immediately. Best of luck.
