My dog's chest is bleeding. I used Neosporin. When to see a vet?

Since he is acting normal, you can clean the area with soap and water then apply neosporin. It seems small enough to form a scab and heal on its own but if you notice any swelling or bruising or a change in appetite then I would have him checked

Without seeing how it looks i can't really tell you if she needs treatment or not but if no bleeding occur a local antibiotic cream 2-3 times a day for a few days is likely to be enough as far as treatment goes.

I would hold pressure on it to stop the bleeding. Then you can use neosporin on it twice a day and make sure he isn't scratching it. If it isn't improving or it is getting worse, I would see your vet to make sure he doesn't need any oral antibiotics. I hope this helps!

For Max! That looks a little irritated. He could have an infection or it could be some type of mass. The best thing would be to have your veterinarian take a look at it to determine the exact cause and the best way to treat. He may need an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory. If you can't take him to a vet, then you could bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and apply an antibiotic cream and see if it resolves.

This is most likely just an abrasion that your dog got from going up the tree. If the area is hot and/or swollen it may be infected and you would need to take your dog to the vet to get some antibiotics to help it clear up. If you do not think it is swollen you can try cleaning it daily with some dilute hydrogen peroxide and applying some antibiotic ointment on it. It looks like a wound if some kind that has a booodbsupply damage to the black part so that skin is nit healthy tissue that can heal. He will most likely need antibiotics from your vet and have that center part removed to let the fresh new skin heal together

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! At least based on these pictures, this looks superficial enough that it should be ok with topical therapy. I think applying a triple antibiotic like Neosporin twice daily for 7-10 days would be a good idea. This may make Zelda to be itchy. For this reason, if you notice her scratching at her head, use an e-collar to prevent self-trauma as that may delay healing. Otherwise, this should heal well shortly. Good luck and have a great day!
