Unfortunately there is not much research on CBD oil in dogs at this point. People like to recommend it for many, many different problems ranging from arthritis to seizures to anxiety, but there is no evidence at this point that it helps. If you want to post your question again and give more specifics on Eddie's condition we might be able to give you a better idea as to whether or not others have used CBD, or we might be able to suggest some other supplements to try.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of studies out there yet to determine how efficacious CBD oil is in pets (this is due in part to the legal status by the federal government). On it's own, most medications and supplements will not work. Anxiety is best addressed with a multi-model approach of desensitization, exercise and medication/supplement. These links will help:

As of yet, we have very little research on CBD oil in veterinary patients, so we cannot make any recommendations one way or the other about this product - we do not know what an appropriate dose might be, and if there are any potential health concerns or drug interactions in dogs. In addition, because it's a schedule 1 drug, it's illegal for us to prescribe or recommend. I'd speak to Hank's vet about his anxiety, there may be medication you can give him to help. Best of luck.

In addition, because it's a schedule 1 drug, it's illegal for us to prescribe or recommend. That's would be why your vet didn't say much about it. There are medications that can work for dogs like Oscar with anxiety, and I would speak to her about that. Best of luck.

Can CBD oil help my overprotective dog with his behavior issues?

CBD is an anectdotal drug, which means that no formal studies have been completed in pets to the point where we prescribe it with confidence that it will work across the board. You have to try it and see if it helps your pet. We also have no authorization to recommend it to any pets until it goes through the legal system. You can certainly try any over the counter medication, including CBD oil, as a homeopathic option and see if it helps with your pets aggression. However, with any medication or supplement, you will have to still do formal training on your pet to help resolve any behavioral issues you are seeing. I would also recommend trying Zylkene supplements for any anxiety or behavioral issues with your pet. Best of luck with Oscar moving forward. Take acre. : )

Considering CBD for my senior dog's arthritis and joint pain?

Just like with human medicine, there is much to be studied when it comes to CBD treatment in dogs, so the answer is actually unknown. The product you have shown is not considered a CBD supplement as it just contains hemp seeds, which do not have the CBD's like marijuana flowers do. I see that this product also has omega 3/6 fatty acids which may be helpful. However, I wouldn't expect this product to be very helpful. It appears safe though, so you can give it and see if you notice any difference. If you finish the bottle and haven't noticed any benefit, then I wouldn't buy anymore. While supplements may be a helpful adjunct, the best products for arthritis are the ones your veterinarian can prescribe. If they Eschele is having a lot of difficulties with arthritis, then it's best to have your vet evaluate her and prescribe the necessary treatment if this hasn't been done already. I hope that helps and she feels better soon.

You do need to have Zoe seen by a vet to see if there is anything that can be given to her to make her more comfortable. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants.
