Can my dog eat too many bully sticks? How many calories are in them?

It's fine to use this as an occasional treat for Biscuit, but treats should only be given once or twice a week at most. I would let her eat at most half of it (less if it's quite big), and keep an eye on her while she is eating it to prevent her from eating it all at once or possibly choking on a large piece. The stomach acid does a pretty great job at dissolving bully sticks. Hi there. Yes, I would definitely recommend giving Lirril some things to chew on. It's normal for puppies and adolescents to be very mouthy and want to chew constantly at this age. I normally recommend things like all-natural sturdy rawhide chews, bully sticks, and puzzle toys such as a frozen Kong stuffed with peanut butter. These do not cause cancer, and are generally safe for dogs to chew on.

If you are giving Milk Bones, by the tiny size and only give several a day. Most dogs in this country are overweight. Being strict with his diet from the start with help to prevent this from occurring with him. As far as the best chew, it is based on the individual dog. The chew needs to be something he enjoys, but more importantly something he cannot break pieces off and swallow. This can become a surgery to remove. I hope this information helps!

If you are currently trying to get rid of struvite crystals I would try to stick with the special diet your vet recommended until you got rid of the crystals. If they didn't put him on a special diet then I would just wait until they are resolved so you aren't complicating any of the progress. I don't know what type of food you are feeding Hershey, but I have commonly seen these types of crystals in dogs who are fed blue buffalo and less often, other high protein diets. If too many are included as part of the diet, then yes, a dog could gain extra weight. The marrow is high in fat and calories so dogs can become overweight if given too many.
