My dog pooped earlier and it came out looking red like it was bloody. She has also been very weird about eating her kibble. Some days she will eat and sometimes she will go a couple days. Should I be concerned?

Poor Pug! Given that she may have some blood in her poop, yes I would get her into the vet soon. Blood in the poop should always be checked out by a vet right away. Until you get her into the vet, feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day. I hope this helps.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If you have not tried a low fat GI food I would consider switching the food to something like Hills I/D and see if this resolves the bloody stool. I would also recommend adding in a probiotics such as Purina fortiflora. If there is no improvement or the blood worsens, I would have Sammie examined by a veterinarian. I would recommend an abdominal ultrasound and blood panel to ensure everything is functioning norm
I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation if needed.
