My dog is lethargic, not eating, and has bloody stool. What to do?

  It sounds as she is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

  Robo sounds very sick, and I'd be concerned he could have parvovirus, may have eaten something rotten or toxic, could have a foreign body, or could have hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. He really needs to see a vet now, please take him into one immediately. Best of luck.

  Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Shadow!
  
  Possible causes for not eating and blood diarrhea are: intestinal parasites, viral (especially parvo) or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion, food allergy intolerance, reaction to human food or new treats/dog food.
  
  Shadow should see a Vet for blood work, fecal testing and parvo test. I am curious as to what you are "vaccinating" her with for vomiting, infection and red stool as these medications could be making things worse.
  
  I would recommend Hill's i/d or Royal canin GI puppy, metronidazole, deworming, a probiotic like Purina Fortiflora and something for nausea. She likely needs fluids as well.

  Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Luna. Any blood loss should be evaluated immediately by your veterinarian. The causes are many including toxins (rat poison), a dietary problem, irritants, foreign bodies, infections by viruses/bacteria, or other reasons that impair the blood clotting system. Some autoimmune diseases and tick borne diseases come to mind also. Only your vet can assess and run the appropriate tests to determine what is going on. Normally after an exam the following can be advised - blood coagulation studies, standard blood tests, fecal exam, x-rays/ultrasound, etc. Treatment of course depends on the cause determined. Get Luna seen as soon as possible and Good Luck.
