My dog has a bleeding scratch. Is it serious enough for a vet visit?

In general there is always a risk of infection, as we are not human doctors, we can't give you any medical advise, but if you are concerned, make an apointment to see your GP so he can have a look at it and give you some treatment if needed.

If it is just a superficial scratch and it appears that the bleeding already resolved, you may continue to monitor it. If at some point a discharge develops and it appears to be getting infected, have him examined then. You may clean the area with soapy water. However, if it seems deep, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It is hard to know for sure without being able to see it though I hope this is helpful. It looks like she may have a small abrasion or had an insect bite and licked it. Keep an eye on it and make sure it stays clean and dry. If it does not improve over the net day or two or if it gets worse, get her in to see your vet.

It looks like there is an infection under the skin, it could be due to a bruise or some other type of injury. i would indeed recommend taking Oscar to the vet in order to get it treated, he will probably need a course of antibiotics.

It could be that Maggie scratched at the mole, which caused it to bleed. If it is irritating to her, I would recommend discussing with your vet having it removed. Even if it's normal, should she keep scratching at it and making it bleed, that can introduce infection into the area. It might be best to have it removed to keep that from happening.
